Water Under The Bridge Records is an independent record label based in San Pedro, CA. We are two working dudes (Craig Ibarra and Bob Archer) that started this label for the sole purpose of documenting and releasing music from the Harbor Area of Los Angeles on our spare time. WUTB was established in 2008. We are looking forward to putting out records from bands and/or projects from the area.
END FWY is a moniker that we use for the community sound system here in San Pedro. You might have seen it around. I (Craig) also use it as a fictitious promoter tag (END FWY Presents) whenever I help put on gigs here in town. Basically, END FWY = SAN PEDRO, which is at the end of the 110 Freeway South. "All roads end in Pedro."
S.A.D. began as a small cassette-only label that I (Craig) started sometime in 1987-88. The main reason for starting the label was to document my friends' bands from San Pedro. I was really inspired by Dischord Records and our hometown label, New Alliance. Not long after putting together the first San Pedro compilation, my roommate Marc Olmos (CZEEZ) came aboard and we purchased a Kenwood high speed dubber. We begin dubbing small amounts and selling them at local shops like Peanut, Zed, Mondo Video and A Combination Of 3. Being that we were on a shoestring budget, we never planned on getting any of our releases pressed; we just wanted to make them available mostly for our friends. Olmos eventually faded away and I continued on. I eventually got rid of the word Cassettes in S.A.D. Cassettes which kind of limited things and than put out the Triskaidekaphobia San Pedro comp on CD (2001) which was actually pressed this time. Different bands come and go and I try to put out a song or two from each band to remember and look back at the different punk rock bands from our small town. I would say S.A.D. has documented the majority of Pedro punk bands from 1984 to the present. With BANDCAMP now available, I plan on slowly releasing the entire S.A.D. catalog for free (download) and going back and documenting lots more stuff in the near future.
